While tea is a great drink any time of the day, it also makes a lovely addition to a cocktail (or mocktail)! This particular recipe can be used with any of our Earl Grey tea blends, so order up a few ounces of Noble Rose, Blue Gold, Island Brew, or classic Earl Grey, (or get them all with The Earl Grey Collection Gift Set) and give this recipe a try!

Serves 1 | Contains Caffeine

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 teaspoons of our Noble Rose (Earl Grey with Roses), Earl Grey, Blue Gold (Earl Grey with Lavender), or Island Brew (Earl Grey with Hibiscus) tea

  • 6 ounces of boiling water

  • 1.25 ounces of gin (or sparkling water/soda for a non-alcoholic version)

  • 1.25 ounces of honey simple syrup (you can make a larger quantity for future use)

  • 0.25 ounces of lemon juice

  • 1 tea strainer or infuser

Instructions:

  1. Steep tea leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes. Let cool completely in the refrigerator.

  2. Make honey simple syrup by combining 1.25 cups of water and 0.25 cups of honey in a small saucepan. Simmer until honey is dissolved. Let cool completely in the refrigerator.

  3. Once above mixtures are cold, add gin, lemon juice, 6 ounces of tea, and 1.25 ounces of honey simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice.

  4. Shake for 15 seconds, then strain into a glass over ice.

  5. Enjoy!

We like to make larger batches of the tea and honey simple syrup (5 cups of water with 1 cup of honey) for easy refills and future occasions. Feel free to adjust any part of this recipe to your liking -- and let us know in the comments how you like it best!
